Built from a problem every golfer understands
Club:ID was created to help golfers protect every club in the bag before a costly mistake happens.
The Story Behind Club: ID
Club:ID started after I left an expensive, hard-to-find putter at a golf course about 45 miles from home.
I didn’t realize it was missing until I got back and checked my bag. From there, I had to call the pro shop to see if someone had turned it in, contact the friends I played with, and even ask my brother to drive back to the course and look for it.
Luckily, someone had returned the putter.
But the experience made one thing very clear: once a club is left behind, the golfer usually has no way of knowing until much later. By then, recovery depends on phone calls, memory, course staff, and luck.
That led to a simple question:
What if your clubs could alert you before you got too far away?
That idea became Club:ID — a golf-specific system designed to help golfers protect every club in the bag, reduce the chances of leaving one behind, and provide useful last-seen information when recovery is needed.
